This kid is coming practically out of nowhere but he could be one of Kentucky’s more recruited DE’s in the ’23 class before it is all said and done. Talk about a kid who passes the eye-test, this kid is it. If you are a program serious about competing in college football, I would get this kid on campus and right away. Cooper Stone is one of the commonwealth’s most polished and prolific pro-style QBs. He has led the Bethlehem program to a level of play it will be difficult to replicate without him. Sometimes the winner of this award doesn’t have the “stand alone numbers” one generally sees from his position group. However, Mingua Beef Jerky also prizes players who invent ways to make things happen even when the opposing defense is trying desperately to take away from that player what he generally contributes. Such was the case Friday night in the Mingua Beef Jerky Bowl. Boyle County’s Jagger Gillis had an extraordinary performance, though in an out of the ordinary sort of way.
