We will start out this all-state team with an admonition with which we begin every team we have ever published. We will miss on some guys. It is just important to note that your son not making out team doesn’t mean he wasn’t an all-state caliber player. Also, we expressly reserve the right to re-enter the team, even after it is published, and add worthy players who may have been missed or accidentally omitted. That being said, our small and large school All-State football teams, sponsored by Big Ass Fans, are the most expansive and complete teams in the business. This team here, and the coaches’s team published by the Courier Journal, are the only two legitimate teams in existence and we believe our team to be much more complete and legitimate than even theirs. Congratulations to the players who made the team and congratulations to the wonderful world of Kentucky high school football for providing us with the endless thrills and discussions we net from our following this, the greatest game on earth.

It is called the “Holy War.” Lexington Catholic versus Lexington Christian. It is one of the more anticipated rivalry games in the commonwealth of Kentucky. It is getting played tonight and we have taken an in-depth look at the matchup and the men who will play it. We will forecast a winner, then we will wait and see whether we were right or wrong. Christian Shackelford is built exactly like the “big boys” want to see him. He’s 6’7,” 290-pounds and sports a 3.8-GPA. Shackelford got six (6) games of run over his sophomore season and that isn’t too bad considering LCA had the most senior laden group of trench men in the KHSAA a year ago at any level of competition. There will be plenty of competition to fill some of these holes in ’25 resulting from the Spring ’24 commencement ceremonies. Enjoy this look at a ’27 who seems destined to grow into one of his graduating class’s very best offensive linemen before it is said and done. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard.
