We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Lasaters is a place one goes to get caffeinated and motivated and couldn’t we all use a bit more of that invigoration in our daily routines. Get by one (1) of our four (4) Christian County, Kentucky locations and enjoy the roasted flavor of a hot cup of warmth and love.

Friday Night Fletch.

We have been familiar with the work of Craig A. Walters, a.k.a. “Blade,” and everything he has done to serve Hopkinsville High School and its sports programs over the bast half a century. We believe Walters has served the programs at Hopkinsville High, in whatever capacity is deemed needed, since his graduating from Christian County High School in 1976. What we have learned, traveling around the commonwealth covering football, is that every legitimate, successful program has a Walters-type guy. This article is in honor of Craig Walters and every other volunteer like him across our beloved Kentucky. The game we love and cherish wouldn’t be the same without your efforts. We are in your debt. Thank you.

Mikey Hager was going along just fine through six (6) games a year ago when he was lost for the season. All you have to do to see the year he was putting together is look and see what he did to Lexington Christian Academy, routinely among the better rosters in the KHSAA. Against the Eagles, Hager caught nine (9) passes for 168-yards receiving and two (2) TDs. Hager averaged 18-yards a reception, scoring a TD about every third catch through the six games in which he got action. With 15-tackles 1-TFL, and an INT in those same six (6) games, one can see this is a two-way guy who could play either side in college. Enjoy this feature.
