The Lions are off to a fantastic start at 3-1 with its lone loss being to a ranked 1A team (Holy Cross) by a single point in the season opener on its brand new, 62-million dollar stadium. Since then, the Lions have roared including beating the pants off the defending 1A champions, Kentucky County Day, 34-7 in its second week. Well, Thursday night, the Lions won its first home game, beating Marion County 41-6 behind the strong play of its ’27 QB, Brian Dickerson, Jr. Can this team, which was practicing on asphalt parking lots and un-manicured fields really contend for a championship in its district and at the regional level under Coach George Durant, Jr.?
