Larry Irvin is called “PeeWee.” That isn’t a name which opponents of the Bruins call Irvin. His performance at times in ’24, as a junior, was down right major league. Irvin turned it on when the playoffs began and led his team past Male High in round two in overtime. Today we celebrate PeeWee Irvin as he earns the week’s coveted Kentucky Comfort Creator award from Big Ass Fans. Enjoy this feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there!

One doesn’t get much more versatile than Fort Campbell’s JaCaryous “JP” Perryman. Last season, as a junior (’26), Perryman rushed for 603-yards, housed seven (7)-TDs rushing, completed 62-passes for 912-yards and 13-TDs, caught four (4) passes for 62-yards and a TD, housed eight two-pointers, registered 20-tackles, forced two fumbles, recovered one, and picked a pair of passes for 5-IRNYs. Say all of that three times really fast. The guy is a fantastic athlete who competes in multiple sports for his high school which competed at a high level a year ago in winning half its games. There are some really outstanding freshmen football players who got a ton of reps during the ’24 season. There was even a ’28 kid who got 13-games of run behind the best OL unit in Kentucky at any classification. LCA’s Matthew Montgomery is a 6’0,” 230-pound guy with a 275-pound bench, a 405-pound squat, and a penchant for flattening defenders unfortunate enough to get in his pulling trajectory on traps and pulls. The great thing about high school football stars is often they are the guy who grew up down the street, went to church with us, and even look like us. The college guys are often inhuman, but the high school guys are “Regular Joes.” They are the boy next door. They are what is best about us if you really think about it. Aden Bolden is among the very best football players in Kentucky. He had a tremendous junior season, make the Big Ass Fan’s All-State, Small School, Football Team, and is now our Protein-packed Performer of the Week.
