Head Coach Darell Keith is this week’s Todd County Central Rebel of the Week

The Todd County Central HS Rebel of the Week is...

KPGFootball is proud to be the exclusive digital coverage provider of the Todd County Central Rebels football team. Todd County, as this on-line publication has before reported, has a lot of exciting things going on in and around its football program. The Rebels will be coached this upcoming season by veteran football coach, Darell Keith, and return a lot of young talent from off a 6-5 football team. The excitement about the program and its future prospects has resulted in an uptick in financial donations permitting the program to initiate some exciting facility upgrades. These upgrades will leave the field and press box area unparalleled anywhere in the immediate area regarding high school football facilities. They include field, natural turf improvements and modernizing the press box at the stadium permitting luxury viewing accommodations for major supporters of the team. The renovated press box will be furnished lavishly and will feature big screen televisions in the booth from which the on-field action will be monitored by both patrons and working press during game action. In a bit of a departure from what we have before done we have elected to make Darell Keith this week’s Todd County Central Rebel of the Week.

There is an excitement around Todd County Central High School, especially concerning high school football, which many people in the area claim they haven’t seen since either the Rebels lost in the 1994 state quarter-finals, polishing off an 8-4 record, or maybe since Troy Snardon patrolled the offensive backfield in the 70s before going on to play at WKU. It is even rumored that none other than Snardon himself has noticed it. Now, to be a good football coach at the high school level the coach has to be able to do two things foremost…one, recruit his hallways to get the athletes out for football, and two, raise money. Well, the old master, Darell Keith, appears to be doing both things very well. He is already well down the path of a serious facility upgrade as the picture to the left (of the press box) certainly indicates, and they have 32 out for Spring ball which is very good with all the other spring sports with which you are competing for athletes. Last year, a year in which the Rebels were 6-5, there were only about 25 out for football and that was in the Fall.

With all of this excitement, we have elected to feature Coach Darell Keith as our Todd County Central Rebel of the Week. Congratulations to Darell Keith and keep up the good work coach!
