The final preseason tune-up bode well for the near future as the Storm went 4-0 in varsity and JV scrimmages in a three team round robin including Russellville and Ohio County. We will break down the action from that outing and see if we can’t read the tea leaves regarding the upcoming future. Enjoy this feature.

Coming into the season we have a variety of news to report. First, Cajun Hayes is looking like we predicted back on May 24, 2024. He is pushing for starter’s reps and has looked fantastic, particularly after the hitting started. Central has lost some coaches. Our Morton’s Gap agent tells us he sees a pathway to seven or eight wins this regular season. Enjoy this installment. Friday Night Fletch.

We like the Aces to get back to Lexington this coming season and believe they will escape with the crown. We also believe programs like Beechwood, LCA, and Mayfield will have a bunch to say about it. It is getting time for the now former 8th graders to report to their varsity teams. The Storm, when opening camp, will certainly have some prime timers joining them from middle school looking for PT. KJ Hayes will be one of them. As the reigning KYMSFA, Region I, Division I, Player of the Year, it wouldn’t surprise many to see this kid in the lineup early in his HS career. Enjoy the feature. We have been focusing on versatility this offseason and Charles “Dylan” Beringer fits that bill. Beringer plays along the OL and the DL and appears to run track and cross country.
