The high school game is a game where the 5’8,” 240-pounder may flourish. It is his game. It is the game for the “Chapter 16” type kid, the Football Playing Jesse. If these referenced are unfamiliar to you, you need to read Sam Harp and my book, “Football 101: Boo-Boo’s a Quarterback.” There is a link at the bottom of this article, will take you right to where you can order. It is just $9.99 on “Kindle,” best ten bucks you will ever spend. Jaiden Jones will help anchor the Storm front this coming year. He appears well equipped to handle the assignment. Alexander Schuster looks to battle it out for a slot along the interior offensive line for Kentucky’s premier high school football program. It is hard to find the field for Trinity until your junior season no matter who you are. Schuster has worked his tail off and has bided his time. It is his day. Trinity is coming off a 13-2 season and yet another 6A KHSAA football title. All told, Trinity has won 29-championships and favored to make it 30. Schuster’s frame and growth potential are big pluses for him as he is our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator this week. Let’s keep it cool out there KY.

Storm Warning: Khristian Scott is looking to meet opponents at the cross roads this season… @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

July 17, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Khristian Scott has “the look.” He is 6’3,” in the neighborhood of 265, and has a glare that would make a stranger want to cross the street just to get away from him. We need more tough guys like him manning the lines of scrimmage in Morton’s Gap. Enjoy this exclusive look at a player who will factor in heavily in the Storm’s seasonal prospects.

Storm Warning, with nothing left but some Sevens throws, two scrimmages, and the opener what should we see from the Storm in ’25? @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

July 10, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

It is that time of year. We are all coming out of the “Dead Period” and we want to know how our hometown, high school football team is likely to fare in the coming season? We have taken an in-depth look into one of our favorite teams, Hopkins County Central, and have attempted to forecast that very thing. Enjoy this breakdown of the Storm’s team and upcoming season. Let’s brace for the glorious season ahead enjoying this country’s greatest and most significant export.

Storm Warning: Kaijain Hayes back for his sophomore season looking to fulfill his immense promise @CoachJRiley_, @hayes_kaijain, @_CoachManning, @SylasGunn, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

KJ Hayes came up from middle school with tremendous promise. We predicted he would start varsity as a freshman. We were right. Hayes was put into the starting lineup after the opener where he remained until being lost to injury the fifth game of the year. Hayes has rehabbed this injury, reports being back 100%, and is looking forward to getting back on the field and giving his all to the fans, his teammates, and brothers. We predict a break out year for Cajun Hayes in ’25 and believe as he goes, so goes the Storm to a large extent. Enjoy this feature about a kid who plays an important role on this team and a guy about whom you may have well forgotten.

Storm Warning: Look out for a pretty common name around Morton’s Gap, Collin Phaup @HopkinsCentral, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @CountyMustangs, @_CoachManning, @phaup40001

June 26, 2025 Fletcher Long 1

If you are a fan of the Storm, the surname “Phaup” isn’t an unfamiliar one. Collin is a ’29 guy and his varsity journey looks to get under way this coming Fall. Elizabeth Phaup is a known commodity who has just wound up her varsity tenure playing soccer for The Storm. From what we hear from our agents around Hopkins County, if you are excited about what Collin Phaup may bring to the playing field this Fall, you should be. Phaup is another of the 29’s we expect will see considerable playing time when the season opens in mid-August. If he does hit the stardom pay dirt, he will be following in his big sister’s footsteps. Enjoy the feature.

Storm Warning: Dallas Kinlaw has put in the time and is ready for the show @jasonhenc3, @Aspirationsgym, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @HopkinsCentral

We regularly keep up with rosters by asking agents of ours to monitor players as they lift, condition, and develop. We got a call from our Hopkins County guy and he was raving about Dallas Kinlaw. Kinlaw is a RB/LB combo guy who got a couple games of run in ’24. In spite of the limited run, Kinlaw still registered four (4) tackles. Not shabby for a freshman. Kinlaw has killed it this offseason. We don’t have a picture of him which is recent and he doesn’t appear to have either a Hudl page or X-Account. He will have to remedy that. If what we are hearing about this guy is correct, Kinlaw will want to have the means for schools to find him and evaluate his film. Enjoy this look at an up and comer who is coming right along.

Storm Warning: Is there a leader emerging for Sylas Gunn? @HopkinsCentral, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @SylasGunn, @CoachSimmons_CC, @Coach_CotterLWC, @CoachManers, @washufootball

June 12, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Recruiting is heating up for one of ’26’s more versatile and recruitable athletes. Gunn just got back from Centre College’s spring game and ring ceremony regarding its ’24 SAA title. Have the Colonels emerged from that event the clear leader? Is WashU, Georgetown, and Lindsey Wilson still firmly in the mix? We may not have all the answers in this article, but it is a fun game to get to contemplate. Enjoy this feature about a kid you might not have know about prior.

Storm Warning: Central plans on unveiling a new scoring weapon in ’25 @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @evans02_mike, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans

June 5, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Blaze Whitaker is an accomplished soccer player. He has made All-State teams and All-Region teams in that sport where he stars on the varsity team as an “Attacking Midfielder.” I would say if there is a soccer player in the world who could transition to American Football, it would be the “Attacking Midfielder.” When in doubt, attack! Whitaker got seven games of run in ’24 as a sophomore and converted 12 of his 23 PAT attempts. We would like to see that conversion rate increase significantly as would the Storm coaching staff. That said, there is no reason to not expect significant improvement with more practice and more experience coupled with anatomical development. Enjoy this feature about a kid who plays an important phase of football often overlooked.

Storm Warning: Waylon Carter looking for some extended PT and production in multiple phases next season @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @HopkinsCentral, @CountyMustangs

May 29, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

You could just about define this kid after burying his mom in seventh grade. Approximately five hours after her service, Carter took the field against Union County and scored four (4) TDs. You talk about tough. You talk about clutch. This is a kid who has faced down adversity and spat in its eye. Carter had a solid sophomore season. Carter had a hand full of carries, caught a pass, played on several coverage units, and logged 25-tackles and half a sack in only seven (7) games of PT. This is a kid looking to start every game. We believe he will have that chance in ’25 and going off of what he has before done, the chances are he will make the most of it. Enjoy this feature.
