The great thing about high school football stars is often they are the guy who grew up down the street, went to church with us, and even look like us. The college guys are often inhuman, but the high school guys are “Regular Joes.” They are the boy next door. They are what is best about us if you really think about it. Aden Bolden is among the very best football players in Kentucky. He had a tremendous junior season, make the Big Ass Fan’s All-State, Small School, Football Team, and is now our Protein-packed Performer of the Week. LCA routinely produces the finest college talent in the commonwealth in spite of playing at the 2A classification. As we have said umpteen time, where you compete (classification-wise) is pretty meaningless in Kentucky. In the KHSAA, we have good teams and not so good teams. Both types span all six (6) classes. Enjoy this look at a kid who has the name to go as far as he would like in the sport of football. He has the measurements and the skills too. Enjoy the feature.

JJ Austin is a workhorse for one of Kentucky’s premier programs. He leads the team in rushing, and rushing the football is what the Pirates do best. JJ is also more than a token defender. What will he do in ’25, as a senior? One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Small School All-State Football Offense at FB/LB in 2025. It is still early. Every year, rosters are charged with replacing outgoing talent with upgrades (if they are lucky). Eighth graders leave middle school, and enter ninth grade, more and more prepared to contribute on Friday nights than at any previous time. Aiden Jesse is putting up prodigious numbers, particularly for a team which has struggled as mightily as have the Colonels. Jesse is also impressing the right people as recruiting interest in him is heightening. This is a prospect who we could see signing with any team at virtually any level of competition. Kadin Hanshaw is among the more versatile performers in the entire commonwealth of Kentucky. One might say he is “in the lead” to represent the “Big Ass Fans” Large School All-State Football Offense at RB/LB in 2025. It is still early. However, what this guy did as a sophomore was pretty dad-burn impressive and made him a serious candidate for the ’24 team even though he ended up getting edged out.
