This is a special edition of our Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator series. Keshawn Dixon, a senior RB/LB at 2A, Fort Campbell High, is posting some incredible numbers in this, his senior year. Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop the federal government shut down from shutting down his team, his coaches, his teammates, and his assault on the KHSAA statistical website among 2A and KHSAA players. We need to find some way to come together and end the gridlock. That is as close to a political statement as you will ever get from us. If we wanted to talk politics, we would cover it. We are very pleased to welcome Lasaters Coffee & Tea to our growing family of advertisers. The Kelley family has a very long history in the local football industry and several of the Kelleys have had their numbers retired owing to their familial history of playing excellence. Football has been very good to their family and they look for ways to give back to this very special community. Luke DeMoss is an unsung hero for the North Hopkins defense and one of the reasons the 5A team is 6-0 and contending for a title this season in the KHSAA. Today, his song is being sung. DeMoss is a nose guard who is also a championship caliber powerlifter and title holder from the heavyweight division at the Kentucky High School “Push-Pull (bench/deadlift) Championships.” DeMoss is also an incredibly hard guy to dig out of the A-gap and forces teams to double him up to get him out of there. The net result is…the Maroons are having a season for the ages. Enjoy this article about a special, young talent who has worked very hard to get where he is.

The Murray High Tigers have transformed under Head Coach Melvin Cunningham into a real Western Kentucky terror regardless of how large of an enrollment you may have at your disposal. The 3A juggernaut has just outlasted a 59-56 game against McCracken County and one of Kentucky’s more explosive offensive ball clubs. Wyatt Robbins (’26) is putting up “Gameboy” type numbers this season and Friday night was no different. His efforts, and the efforts of his teammates, have the Tigers sitting at 6-0 with four “winnable” games ahead. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star.

We thought we would head on over to the Derby City and catch up with one of our favorite RBs on one of our favorite teams. Parker Rudolph (’26) is a RB prospect who has the speed, power, and explosion (twitch) to play free or strong safety at the next level too. He can return kicks, punts, work the slot catching the ball, and use his backend separation speed and spacial quicks to gain a ton of after contact yardage. At Big Ass Fans, we reach out and impact all parts of Kentucky, large or small, wherever we are needed. In the world of Kentucky high school football, a world about which we are undoubtedly familiar, the Trinity/St. Xavier game is often referred to as “The Game.” It is so big neither on campus stadium is viewed as sufficient to host the event. This is why it gets annually played at the stadium which hosts University of Louisville football games instead. This year neither team has lost a game to a Kentucky high school. That changes this weekend. We have taken a deep dive into the matchup, done our homework/research, and have forecast a winner. Let’s see how closely we get this or if we miss altogether. Thursday night (September 11, 2025) the Maroons from Madisonville North Hopkins found themselves facing judgement day. What else can a team term facing the defending KHSAA football champion, 4A’s top ranked team, and Kentucky’s 8th best football team regardless of enrollment or classification. The “Mops on Top” made for themselves the best case it could and Markezz Hightower rested his case for Mr. Football. All that is left now is to await the jury’s return and report of its verdict. We tried to tell everyone Prestonsburg was back last year when the team posted 11-wins against 2-losses. Everyone got too caught up in P-burg’s late season loss to Breathitt, a Breathitt squad with a very young offensive backfield which had grown up quite a bit by the 1st of November. Anyway, Prestonsburg just beat the best team on its schedule in overcoming Hazard in Prestonsburg this pas Saturday. Not all games are played on Friday Nights. Increasingly, games are being showcased on Saturdays and even Thursdays. Hoptown is entertaining a public school from Chicago, Illinois tonight. It is the Prosser Career Academy and the Falcons enter the game 1-0 on the young season. Hoptown (1-1) looks to be more than the Falcons can handle on paper at least and we like the Tigers by a sizable margin over the visiting team from Chi-Town.
