If you have been reading our weekly “Outstanding Performances…” articles, the series of articles should have impressed upon you how very difficult winning this award really is. We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, week two of the playoffs, we honor a senior who did a whole lot of everything in leading his team to its District Championship. This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is Andrew Munster who saw his career end in the first round but who has been a four-time recipient of this award. Munster is out of eligibility (high-school wise) which we believe to be cause for mourning around McLean County. Murray High may have a backfield full of the hardest names to spell in all of football. You virtually need a doctorate to even attempt to spell Rowdy Sokolowski, Brendon Dahncke, or Charvelle McCallister. This week’s recipient, Brendon Dahncke, had a particularly good game in one of his team’s more important games of the year, against cross-town, 4A, District 1 heavyweight, Calloway County. It was a battle for supremacy in the city of Murray and the county of Calloway and Dahncke led his team to the winner’s circle.
