The first thing about Jacob Parker which sort of jumps out at the onlooker is his incredible length. He is 6’4,” weighs a slender 270-pounds with tremendous growth potential on his frame, and has a wing-span which appears to span several zip codes.
The other thing which jumps out is he is very raw. This kid attended a high school which didn’t have a football program, transferred to Breathitt as a sophomore, has rounded into a star blocking the edge with some defensive play to go along with it, has absolutely worked like a dog since his transfer, and already has picked up a Union College offer heading into his senior year.

First and definitely foremost, we strongly recommend this young man better publicize his Twitter account and Hudl page forthwith. He has the frame to be a prospect and colleges utilize Hudl and Twitter more than other social media constructs. He also has the grades to go anywhere he wants (3.70 GPA).
We reached out to the AD and head football coach at Breathitt. Kyle Moore and the 2019 Class 2A Kentucky Coach of the Year had this to say about Parker, “He’s strong and athletic. Though he is new to football, we are expecting big things from him this coming season and on both sides of the scrimmage line.”
When pressed on the topic, Moore told KPGFootball he believes Parker will plug in right away at OT. He also said the kid will contribute and be called upon to play DE, his “secondary” position.
We contacted our former senior writer and present editorial board member, Fletcher Long, who formerly lived in Breathitt. Long told KPGFootball, “I regularly used to go to practice. Parker would come out and run extra sprints BEFORE practice. Then he would practice with the team, beating everyone in and out of water and drills. After all of this, he would stay after for additional running and skill specific work.”
Long continued, “Parker works like a maniac. It has been my experience kids who do these ‘extra things’ are the ones who have long futures in the game, post-High School.”
Parker is serving notice on his 7th district that he will be heard from this year. KPGFootball is serving notice football players across the commonwealth of Kentucky will not enjoy immunity from Parker’s message.
