Sometimes the winner of this award doesn’t have the “stand alone numbers” one generally sees from his position group. However, Mingua Beef Jerky also prizes players who invent ways to make things happen even when the opposing defense is trying desperately to take away from that player what he generally contributes. Such was the case Friday night in the Mingua Beef Jerky Bowl. Boyle County’s Jagger Gillis had an extraordinary performance, though in an out of the ordinary sort of way.
