Ben Semore is a really exciting prospect who played on both sides of the football in middle school for legendary head coach, Glen Campbell. Semore, a Class of 2021 prospect, is a player who, coming on for his sophomore campaign, should break into the lineup early this upcoming 2018 season. When he gets on the field, KPGFootball believes the Bobcat brigade will be really pleased with what they have in Ben. Ben made the Bret Cooper Junior All-American football team a few years back and played for the East All-Americans in a game which saw the East beat the West 22-6. As Semore’s position coach in that game, I can tell you he played very well both up front, on offense while deployed at guard and on defense along the front four at the 3 technique. Ben is a 5-11 and 215 pound prospect with a frame which indicates he has some physical growth left to do. Ben has long arms and uses his hands well to both lock on and drive defenders off the line and to shed blockers as he scrapes down the defensive front making plays. Semore is both a quality athlete and football player whose name will be called over the loud speaker, in 2018, many times over the course of the schedule should he be aligned along the defensive front. Should the coaching staff elect to play him on offense, he will go about his assignments with vigor and hustle and the running attack and pass protection will be all the better for it.

Congratulations to Ben Semore for being selected this week’s Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Join us next week as we anoint a new recipient.
