If you have been reading our weekly “Outstanding Performances…” articles, the series of articles should have impressed upon you how very difficult winning this award really is. We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, week two of the playoffs, we honor a senior who did a whole lot of everything in leading his team to its District Championship. Folks, the Bobcats are rounding back into the most fearsome team on most people’s schedule and have the chance to be really special in 2019. Braxton O’Hara is just one of the reasons. This is a team which we believe will run the regular season table in 2019. Should they be able to get by Leslie County twice, and handle Beechwood High School and CAL, this may be Mayfield’s opponent at Kroger Field with a title on the line. It is getting time for many of us to start picking how we think the teams both in our area and in our classifications will do in 2019. Dead Period starts Monday and expires Midnight, July 7th. From then on, it is the down-hill journey to the opener. If you are going to speak with any kind of authority on how the season will shake out in 2019, this is information you have to have.
