There is something in the water around Bell County which makes 5’9,” 205-pound RBs who run for a bigilloin yards grow on trees. Remember Daniel Thomas who won the coveted “Mr. Football” Award a few years ago? Coach Hilton has him another tough as nails, unassuming looking thoroughbred, running rough-shod over defenses again in ’25. His name is Kaleb Miller, he is 5’9,” 205-pound RB who gained 2,100 yards as a junior and was selected to the All-State, first team. Miller is at it again, as he already is averaging over 155-yards a game through his first two and leading the ball club with 34-points comprised of five (5) rushing TDs and a pair of two-pointers. Bell County is off to a fast start and has played (already) two of the more talented teams it will face this year on the road at Campbellsville and on the road at Perry County Central, winning both. Like we have done in prior seasons, now the games are finally here, we will take the last week’s action and break it down and then look at the road ahead. We had quite the successful road trip to Elkton, KY this past Friday night and North Hopkins visiting Morton’s Gap means the sledding will get much harder; certainly not any easier. North arrives with an enviable roster which includes plenty of All-State caliber players and even a Mr. Football frontrunner if your math is correct. We identified Levi Clemmons as one of the best LBs in the KHSAA in his ’28 graduating class. We will stand by that prediction with this prospect entering his 10th-grade season a likely starter. That is why he made FBU’s “Top Gun” combine. That is why he made O-D’s Freshman All-American team. Coming into ’25, Clemmons figures to be on the list again provided of prime time linebackers provided he performs commensurate to how he is capable. This kid figures to start appearing on college recruiting boards really, really soon. Kamran Harrison is a “Harrison.” There are those of you who have followed this program for many years who will not need the first statement explained. Kamran is a kid who was expected to do big things last season, and was doing big things, until injury derailed his season. Having him return to the lineup fully healthy makes the Storm a better ball club. The Storm don’t get players as good as Kam Harrison everyday. When the program gets a Kam Harrison, it is important to make it count. Enjoy this edition of Storm Warning.
