Kayson Holland, from Marshall County, is our Mingua Beef Jerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @KaysonhollandFB, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @CountyMustangs, @KyHighFootball, @khsaafootball

April 30, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Kayson Holland from Marshall County is our Protein-packed Performer of the Week. This kid was electric in only eight games of run over the ’24 season. Holland had 36-tackles, broke up seven (7) passes, scored a rushing TD, and only had a pair of passes completed over him all season. Pour in his 3.2 GPA and 24 registered ACT score and you have a very recruitable athlete who also clips off 40-yards in 4.5-seconds. Enjoy this feature on a kid very deserving of some of the world’s finest beef jerky products and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor out there in Benton, KY.

Garrison Barker, From Daviess County, is the Big Ass Fans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @GarrisonB767, @DCHS_Football, @OwensboroSports, @1027TheGame, @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @DcmsWallace

Daviess County had a tough season a year ago. That is why Quadarius Wallace was brought in to right the ship. The first thing Coach Wallace will have to address is filling the post at QB, post-Remington Davis. It is a good thing rising senior, Garrison Barker got the run a year ago he did. We believe Barker will seamlessly slip into the QB-1 role. We also believe Daviess County will make definitive strides from last season to this one. Enjoy this feature about a kid whose performance made the unbearable heat a tad more bearable and who hopes his performance brings comfort to the home fans around Daviess County, KY this upcoming Fall. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard.

Storm Warning: No one is feeding this Khristian to the lions, Scott is preparing for a huge senior season on Morton’s Gap @HopkinsCentral, @_CoachManning, @evans02_mike, @scott_khristian, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

In latin the practice was know as Damnatio ad bestias, losely translated “Condemnation to beats.” You would know it as throwing “Christians to the Lions” and it was a form of capital punishment where the condemned person was killed by wild animals, usually lions or other big cat. No one is practicing this today, but the vernacular of “Throwing (one) to the lions” has modern day usage usually akin to a young player being thrust into action earlier than a coach would like. Well, no one is throwing this particular “Khristian” anywhere. This guy plans on making a real impact his senior season on Morton’s Gap and then sliding somewhere for some college football. The way he is built, don’t bet against him.

Cam Alsip, ’26 DT/LS, is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week @BJNFBALL, @ZashaJones77, @kaeden_bean, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @bigassfans, @CountyMustangs

April 23, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

I know we just featured this kid, but it isn’t uncommon for us to feature a kid and turn immediately around and send him some protein. Check the historical record. it has been before done. This kid’s achievements in the weight room alone, and the hard work he has put in during his off-seasons, is enough to warrant this type recognition. We are here to encourage and reward these exact type efforts. Enjoy this feature on a kid very deserving of some of the world’s finest beef jerky products and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor over there in Somerset, KY.

Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Cam Alsip! @BJNFBALL, @ZashaJones77, @kaeden_bean, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @CountyMustangs

Cam Alsip is the type of high school player we LOVE to cover. He’s a hard worker, kills it in the weight room, all the while looking like a mild mannered, Academic team member. Yeah, Clark Kent didn’t look like much either, at least not in glasses. This kid is busting his tail to get better and it will translate onto the field. With 15-TFLs, 6.5 sacks, and five (5) FFs in ’24, how much better can this kid possibly get? I feel sorry for the kids trying to block this monster. Enjoy the feature.

The @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator is Dishawn Donaldson from Doss @CountyMustangs, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @Dishawn_2, @CoachMville, @DossdragonsFB

April 18, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Donaldson has an interesting motto, and one we whole heartedly support. His motto is “Roam the Field, Never Yield.” Heck yeah, young stud! That is what you want from a guy who is playing DB/some Nickel, and SS. That is what you want from a two-year starter heading into his third year. That is what you, as a coach, definitely want from a senior leader. Things have been looking up for the Doss Dragons. They were 7-4 a year ago and dropped a four-pointer to Spencer County in the opening round of the playoffs. Lots of weapons return. We like Doss heading into the race for the District 3 crown. Enjoy the feature and let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky!

The offseason is a great time to look back on special times and special players. A wise man once said that people who failed to learn from their own histories were forever doomed to repeat them. I can’t speak for any of you but I would enjoy four more years of Calil McNary. Enjoy this look back at a player who showed he was special in middle school and never showed us anything different in HS.

Christopher Dezern, ’28 ATH from Pulaski County, is the @minguabeefjerk Protein-packed Performer of the Week @cdezern21, @coachtaburns, @CoachYoung41, @PCHSFB, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

April 16, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

You know we usually give this award to a player who counts among his team’s, district’s, region’s or even the Bluegrass’ very best at his position. Everyone has to start somewhere and sometimes a kid who gets five (5) games of varsity run on one of 5A’s more stacked rosters is deserving of some recognition and some world famous, all-beef jerky products. Christopher Dezern got quite a bit of play for a frosh a year ago and looks to get a ton of PT this coming season. Enjoy this feature on a kid very deserving of some of the world’s finest beef jerky products and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor out there in Pulaski County, KY.

Cody Gibson is the @bigassfans Kentucky Comfort Creator of the Week @CountyMustangs, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball,@CodyGibson7443, @GRCHS_Football, @GRC_Strength

April 11, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

Cody Gibson is a good looking OL prospect from George Rogers Clark High in Winchester, KY. Gibson is 6’3,” weighs 255, with good length, good feet, and with a 295-pound bench and a 225-pound power clean, the kid has good strength and explosion which only figure to improve. This is a ’26 kid we expect to see some college programs get after. Gibson list DL among his positions, though he has mostly been a one-platoon guy along the offensive front. Enjoy this feature about a kid whose performance made the unbearable heat a tad more bearable and who hopes his performance brings comfort to the home fans around Winchester, KY this upcoming Fall. Let’s keep it comfortable out there, Kentucky, and allow us to help you out in that regard.

Jordan Vaughn was a player we covered regularly when the ’20 OL was owning defenders around Madisonville North-Hopkins. Now the OL coach, who played for Murray State in college, is moving from the OL coach at South Hopkins (Coach Logan) up to the varsity program at Central. The lines of scrimmage are where championships are both won and lost. Central is bringing in a “big gun” in the hopes he provides the edge the program needs to take its next step. Enjoy the feature.
