Ignore us, we ignore you. These are some Friday night match-ups in areas where we get a lot of views. This week we thought we might enliven things by singling out some games for witty commentary. Well for those wondering, it was a wild and woolly Friday night of football around Kentucky. Saturday night will be exciting too. Here are some of the games from around Kentucky which resonated with KPGFootball and what we know or think we know after two games played. Enjoy the article and some of you won’t.

They call minor league teams supplying the majors with talent a “Farm system.” You will see writers who cover MLB talk about news “Down on the Farm.” We have borrowed from that principal for this weekly segment on outstanding performances from middle school stars who will shortly be starring on Friday night. Believe me, their time will be here before you can possibly believe. Enjoy this regular, in-season, look at what is going on down on the farm. HB.
Well, week “zero” is in the books and old Coach Lyon was 63-50 this weekend. That wouldn’t be too bad if we were a major league baseball team but we aren’t accustomed to a win percentage south of 60% around KPGFootball. I literally can feel Fletcher Long out there smirking (He won with much more frequency last season). Anyway, it would help Coach’s win percentage considerably if defending State Champions could manage to beat 2-win teams from 2018 at home, where they had thrashed them last year on the road. It would also be nice if 2-win teams from Nashville, Tennessee could come up the road 50 minutes and not beat Class 5A contenders. Oh well, lots of things would be nice, I suppose. Enjoy the article more than I am enjoying my crow.
We picked our Friday night “Winners” two days ago. We promised we would come back as the weekend drew nigher and pick the Saturday “Winners” too. Now we have done just that. Let the debate rage.
